The Christmas Nativity

We had a Christmas party last Sunday and enjoyed a fun Nativity. Braiden was Joseph, Kiley was Mary. Kam was the angel who talked to the Shepherds, and Chelsey was the narrator. It was a fun night.

The quiet before the storm

I'm sure this will be my last post, until after Christmas.

We are excited to go to Island Park. We have our snow clothes packed. We have to stop at Costco on the way home so I'm trying to pack light. Like that is going to happen. The boys will just have to put all the groceries on there laps (from Bozeman) probably not. We are excited to get some visitor after we get home. It should be lots of fun, it always is.

I hope to have the The Living Christ memorized for tomorrow. We are ready for the family party tomorrow. Lots of good food.

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas.

Concert

Wyatt and Cole ready for the concert. Wyatt did a great job I could tell he was nervous about his speaking part.

Concert number 2

We enjoyed a lovely concert last night. It was title Christmas Vacation. Cole's whole 4th grade class did a big square dance production. And sense they wouldn't dance with girls it was pretty funny to say the least. Cole's partner Kyle was just to funny.

I know the picture is bad but this is Cole promenading. (I don't know if that is a word)

Wes the Great "Ham"

Wes did a great job in his Christmas concert last night. He is a very good dancer.(who knew) We are busy with another concert tonight. I hope to get the rolls made and visiting teaching done today. Well it's a nice thought anyway.

The week before christmas

I can't believe how busy I am this week. We have 2 concerts tonight and tomorrow, Wednesday is the ward party and 4 dozen rolls. I work Thursday and Friday. And that doesn't include any young women's. I'm still trying to memorize "the living Christ" which isn't coming easy.
We went to Cody on Saturday and thought we finished Christmas shopping. But thought of a few more things on the way home.
I finally order our Christmas cards, maybe they will be here for new years.
Oh I just remembered about the kid's Christmas parties. I really like being busy but this might up me over the top.
For some reason the "O" is sticking on the computer and it is driving me crazy. If I had to guess I would say a computer game is the culprit.
I have started packing for the Nielson reunion in Island Park. Everyone is very excited to see Grandma and Grandpa Nielson and all the Nielson cousins. It should be lots of fun. It will probably be hard without Kollin. He was the kid entertainer. I really miss him.
Well hope everyone has a great week. Enjoy this busy exciting time, I know I will.

Brrr its cold outside

Kam has to make a cell of a plant this morning "in cake." He is pretty excited about it. He made the cake last night and he and his partner went to the store to find candy for the part of the plant cell.

Brrr it is cold outside. Wes is bundled up for school. A little Christmas Storyish. It is 2 outside.

Wyatt is doing his concert today for the school and needs a cowboy hat. Cole is to cool for gloves. He has them in his backpack.

Signs of Christmas

I have received some of my first Christmas cards. I love to here how everyone is doing. I haven't even gotten mine printed. But I do have the stamps. For young women's we are challenged to memorize The Living Christ for the Christmas lesson. I haven't memorized anything for such a long time it is going to be a really challenge.

We are planning a trip to Cody on Saturday to finish up the shopping. Hopefully that will happen and we can get everything done.

Wes and the Tree

Wes came home as a Santa's Helper today. I have all the decorations I own on the tree it looks pretty good.
Doug took us to lunch today. It was fun, adult conversation and all.
I had a busy day at work yesterday. We made lots of fun things. I cut my finger, not really bad but the little ones really hurt the worst.
It is snowing everywhere but here. Well it has snowed just not enough to stick.
Kam played his last game on tuesday, I think Doug is reffing some games tomorrow. He really likes it. He reffed a tough game against Lovell. It was fun for him, lots of close calls. Lovell won by one point.

Christmas Tree

I think I might of convinced Doug of getting a fake tree, after this year. He picked a beautiful tree this year. It is just so big we have had trouble keeping it in the stand. It is hocked up everywhere. The pictures didn't turn out very good but you can get the just.
I spent most of the night like this.
We didn't have enough light so I'm on the way to the Co op this morning.

Fun things at work

For work yesterday we made a bunch of appetizers for a party Robb is catering. That is my boss, anyway it was lots of fun. We made a lot of different kinds of deviled eggs. One was a lobster filled egg, and sun dried tomato egg, and the last, I don't know what you would call it. It had capers and some other things in it. It was a more traditional deviled egg. It was a pain peeling all those eggs but I end result was nice.
I want Doug to bring the kids for dinner tonight. Robb order so really nice tuna, and Doug loves seared tuna. I thought they could go get a christmas tree and then stop on the way home. I guess we will see. It is a fun weekend in Greybull, the holiday parade, and other things. A craft fair, and a basketball tournament. Doug is reffing a few games on saturday.
Kam had a good game yesterday. I think he had 8 points. But they lost to Powell. They have beat them one time this year.
I had 2 kids in the paper this week. Kam and Wes. It is fun to live in a small community.
Well I can't get the picture to be the right format. Have a great weekend.

Christmas shopping

I think I'm going to do most of my christmas shopping online this year. Crazy I know. We have Billings 130 miles away but I haven't made a big effort to get there. I got a cute star yesterday at the store on the corner, in Greybull. (I was to lazy to close the curtains, I hope you can see the picture.) I guess it is official I've lost the will to "drive to shop". Notice I didn't say "fly to shop" or "sit at the computer to shop". Doug we be glad to hear that.

This morning

Ren got the dirty plates out of the dishwasher so he could have a better look at them. It was cute, but as soon as I said "Go get the camera" he turned around and started saying cheese, cheese. He is to smart.
Kam must of still been in the shower. He takes his time getting ready. Wyatt didn't even have his hair combed yet. I hope he combed it before he went. Who am I kidding that kid is a perfectionest when it comes to hair and style. I wish some of his other brothers would care a little more.

Rainy, lazy day

I didn't make it to the gym today, or even in the shower for that matter. I have been on the phone all morning. Oh and cleaning and laundry. It is raining outside and I didn't put the suburban in the garage so now it is really dirty. Doug and I worked on the yard yesterday and new leaves have taken the place of the old leaves today.
I can tell Wes is comfortable. Already pant less after getting home from school. Crazy kid. Doug is in Ten Sleep today checking on a bridge they are putting in. It needs to be replaced it is really small.
We made jerky yesterday. It is very time consuming. And the kid have already eaten all of it. I guess it was good. I better get moving. Erica

Kollin's Trial

I was looking for some new stories on the trial yesterday I found a few if you are interested.
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/eastsidenews/2004006046_williams10e.html?syndication=rss
http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/339067_hit10.htmle I guess there where lots of news people and newspapers there but Sara didn't want anyone talking to them. I totally understand that. You can find more information about the trial on the Seattle news channels.

Kam's great game

Kam had a great game against Worland last night. His coach has changed the lineup and put all the good players on the same team. Which is good because they can score but bad because the second team isn't near as good and loses the lead. Kam had 6 points which doesn't sound like a lot until the finial score 13 to 20. Not a lot of scoring in the 6th grade. It was fun.
Hope you have a good weekend and enjoy your day.

Looking through the camera

I'm looking though the camera to find something to post. Ren and I got the dishes and house work done and then went to the gym. The ladies love him, but I don't get my heart rate up very high before he comes to visit me. Kam has a game tonight and Doug is reffing. It should be a fun night. I made the best soup yesterday. It is at Suzanne's blog. Everybody loved it. I wish we would of had some left overs. Next time I will make a bigger batch.
Everyone in my family a traveling today. For Kollin's trial on friday in Seattle. Hope everything goes well for Sara. After the trial she is taking everyone to Kollin's favorite restaurant in Seattle.
Hope you have a good day.

Trip to Ten Sleep

We enjoyed a little basketball in Ten Sleep last night.
And for my birthday we stop in Worland and went to Pizza Hut. When we were seated the waiter informed us kids eat for free at the buffet tonight. So it was a nice birthday present. I don't think she knew what she was getting into. It was a fun night and Kam had a good game. Hope you all have a good day.

Halloween

We should have a busy day today. Wes get to stay at school all day today, for the parade and Halloween party. We are going to eat lunch with him and help get him ready for the parade. It should be a cold parade I think it is the coldest it has been this fall. Lots of frost this morning.
I have to take shampoo and Kam's picture money to him this morning. He has basketball pictures. And I don't want him to have white hair for his pictures. Hope everyone has a Happy Halloween. I have some pictures to post but the pictures poster is not working.

Tuesday, October 30, 2007

I was busy yesterday. I made bread, sugar cookies, and did monday laundry day. But now my house is a mess, especially the kitchen. We had fish last night. It turn out pretty good. The kids ate it, so it must of been okay.
Well, I could clean all day or go shopping, the church book store in Cody is going out of business. I wonder which one I will do?
I'm starting so get some Christmas shopping done. Well my sister Tricia is getting somethings done for me. It's nice to have such a talented sister. I tell her what I'm thinking about, and it turns out 100 times better then I could of done it.
I have a question for you. I want to get Wyatt a digital camera for Christmas. But I don't know if I should get the kids kind or a cheaper adult one, any ideals? I think the adult because he is older but then the kids is made to withstand a kid. Just thinking about it this morning. Have a great day.

Krista emailed me this story. I thought it was cute.

> I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that. "Why?" my daughter asked. "Because it's been on the ground, you don't know where it's been, it's dirty and probably has germs" I replied. At this point, my daughter looked at me with total admiration and asked, "Mommy, how do you know all this stuff? You are so smart." I was thinking quickly. "All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mommy Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mommy." We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information. "OH...I get it!" she beamed, "So if you don't pass the test you have to be the daddy" "Exactly" I replied back with a big smile on my face.

Dentist

We single handily made out dentist day today, four appointments. The kids didn't go to school today because they started at 10 this morning.
Kam has his first game tomorrow morning in Cody. We aren't expecting much, they haven't even practice there offence at all. They are also playing the seventh grade "b" team. We'll see how it goes.
Wyatt and Cole are spending the night in Cody with there cousins. They are pretty excited.
Kam woke up with pink eye this morning, luckily we still have the drops.
We are thinking about going out to Shell tonight for a Halloween party. I don't have the costumes ready yet so I don't know if me will good.

Tag anyone?

For those of you who don't know how this works, here are the rules:
A: Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves.
B: At the end of the post, the player then tags people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog for these rules.I think I can handle that.
Here are 6 fun facts!
1. I hate carving pumpkins, and know it is sad. I'm afraid to buy them because I will have to carve them.
2. I have been know to talk to other drivers on the road. I'm usually apologizing for not paying attention or something. Or turning to wide or something like that. I month it really wide hoping they can read my lips.
3. I really don't like cake and ice cream. I know it sounds crazy and of course I will eat it. But it isn't my favorite.
4. I love tulips, they are my favorite flower. Maybe because it means spring is here. I really don't know I just love tulips.
5. I love pillows, it drive Doug crazy, he is a one pillow man. I could have 100's I make this little whole, maybe cave. And then, when all the stars are aligned boy do I sleep go.
6. I really like to blog and read other peoples blog. I spent way to much time doing it. And it still doesn't look as good as some of my girlfriend. I always say, they are young them me and know more about the computer.

this is my attemped at tag: Tricia, Becca, and Suzanne it is touching you.

football pictures

pictures from football

The hunter was victorious

Doug was to embarrassed to stand by his deer, so Wes got to. I just see what he is thinking in the second picture. "I hope those brains don't fall on my toes" Sorry I know that that was gross but that is what he was thinking.
I just got my cheese cake in the oven for Standards Night tonight. We had a really nice stake meeting last night. I'm glad I went.
I need to post some cute football pictures. Maybe when I get home from the Wagon Wheel. Yes it is true, I had to beg him, but Doug and I are going there for lunch. Try not to be jealous. They are having a $2.50 hamburger special.
Hope you have a good day
Doug put some new songs on the pay list, he said Benny would love them. Can you pick them out?

Boring Day

Wes is walking in the door and I haven't found anything to write about. Talk about a boring day. It should be busy I have a lots to do to get ready for tonight and tomorrow night. I've been reading up on the Marie Osmond thing. I watched some of the show last night but missed the first. So I did see what happened. Poor girl I really like her. She has a good sense of humour. Hope she is okay.
Doug is done hunting again this morning. He said he was going to shot something, even if it is Bambie. What ever, I'm just ready for it to be over.
I'm excited to go to the library sometime today. I haven't read a book in months. Hope you have a good day.
Wes is talking to me and it is cracken me up "and do you know what" he is telling me lots of stories. A dog came to the school with a police officer. "and do you know what" we went on a treasure hunt and there was a really captain of a ship, but it was really my teacher. His day wasn't boring!

Cold monday morning

It is a cold monday morning. Doug went hunting with his dad. Wyatt tried to wear shorts to school today. It was kind of funny. I told him it was cold outside. He said it was supposed to be in the 60 today. I told him it was 30 outside right now. He found some pants and a coat to wear. Hope everyone has a great day.

It's friday

The kids have a half day of school today.

The flu shot

The kids and I went to Doug's work yesterday and got our flu shots. Everyone did a great job, no real tears. I don't know why but Wes woke up in the night with a fever. I don't know if it was the shot or something in the air. He is feeling much better this morning, but I'm not sending him to school.

It rained all day yesterday. It felt like Washington again.
Wes must of had a rough day yesterday. I found this on the floor in the TV room.
He was down to his nothins curled up in a blanket on a bean bag enjoying some Scooby Doo. I thought it was funny

Great people are born in October

Happy Birthday Mom. My mom is one of the best cookie makers I know. She has passed it on to all of her daughters. I think we are all known throughout the communities we live for are cookie making skills. What a legacy. My mom has also instilled in me my love of gardening, of course I'm not an equal to her but I love to try. I think she also taught me how to shop. She can out shop the best of us. She is one of my best friends, I love to talk to her about everything and she loves to hear it. She is a hard worker and loves the church. She is a great example to me. I love you mom, happy birthday.

This is grandma's fish pond in her secret garden. These are her grandkids trying to do some fishing.

Grandpa's Jensens Birthday

I'm sorry to say I didn't say happy birthday to Grandpa last week. I had a hard time finding a picture of grandpa not dressed in some kind of costume. He loves to perform. I have grown to love this man so much. He is my friend and a great example to me. He always listens of my complaints and has word of wisdom for me.
He is such a friend to my husband. I don't think there is anyone else he would rather fish or hunt with.
He is a great grandpa to my boys, always ready to support them in all they do. He has sat through many bad football games, interesting concerts, crazy plays, and enjoyed them all.
We love living so close to them and enjoy the Sunday night visits.
Have a very happy birthday grandpa. We love you.
(I will have to post the pictures later thing aren't working this morning.)
