things are starting to look up

Kam has had a tough transition with this move.  He loved Dubois, and really missed he friends.  He hunted, drove in the mountains or fished almost every night.
Cheyenne is a little bit different and he has had a tough time adjusting.   He has put in about 20 applications for work.
Things are starting to look up for him, he has 2 interview on Friday,  and a DATE.  A girl called him. Dinner at her house and then ice skating.  I wonder how his knees are going to hold up.  Oh I almost forgot he has a date on Sunday he invited a girl to our super bowl party.
I got a letter in the mail today inviting him to apply for Boys State.  He was talking about it the other day and is excited to try.  Thursday he has 3 events all at 7.  FBLA, National Honor Society, and Student Council (they are doing a talent show).  I don't know how he is going to do it all.
I hope I'm not bragging to much.  I'm so excited for him and all his new adventures.  He is a great kid and has been through to much.  I hope it can only get better.  Love you Kam.

busy week

Another busy week, Tuesday night is probably the worse.  Wyatt has a game in Laramie, Cole has a game at East, and Weston has his pinewood derby.  Kam had a great time at EFY, he reunited with his old Laramie friends.
( the church is about 15 minutes away)

twice in 4 days

I'm not proud to post this but the truth hurts.  Kam left Weston at Scout on Wednesday  night.  It was pretty traumatic for Weston and I'm sure he will stick a little bite closer to his brothers next week.  And yes another one.  We left Wyatt at church today.  I know this happens in three so we can expect it at least one more time.  Maybe we will get it out of our systems and remember our kids and brothers.

weekend full of fun

We had a mouse in our window well, sure sign of things to come.
We traded kids,  Becca and Josh took Renton and we took Darrik
Cole had 2 basketball games.  They won, but one of them was close

This little guy kept us on our toes all day.  We really like 3 year olds.
Becca and Josh went to Brown and Gold a t-shirt shop.  They asked Renton if he needed any thing.  He said he needed a shirt.  So they got him one.  He hasn't taken it off sense.  Except for church and that took some convincing.  We went to the Cowboys game on Saturday night.  It was a good game and we won.
We had a great church meeting, someone showed up to teach my lesson.  That is always good.  The kids and Doug have the day off today.  Wes is making his pinewood derby car today.  I have to work for a few hours today.  Cole has practice this morning.  Always lots on our plate.

Wyatt 1st game

Wyatt had a great game on Thursday   He is probably one of the best players on the team.  He has a good understanding of the game.  He just can't make his body do it fast enough.  They beat Laramie by 20 points.

new addition

Cole put this up in the kitchen today.  I started our taxes and soon realized I have a lot of thing to collect before I can finish them.
Kam and Wyatt are at scout tonight.  Cole is at practice.  We are waiting for all the Mt. west basketball to start tonight.

a new treat you have to try

Wicked Buttermilk Syrup
5.0 from 3 reviews
Print

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 Tbsp corn syrup
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 -1/2 tsp vanilla
Instructions
  1. In a large pot combine butter, sugar, buttermilk and corn syrup and bring to a boil.
  2. Allow to boil for about 3 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and add baking soda and allow it to bubble up.
  4. Add the vanilla and stir.
  5. Mixture will thicken as it cools.
  6. Serve on pancakes, waffles, French Toast or scones.
Notes
*Note: You will need a large pot for this recipe–bigger than you think. The baking soda will cause it to foam more than twice it’s original volume…so be ready.
We were given this as a Christmas treat.  It is my new favorite

Stop! Long enough to take a picture

we just got home from Cole's game at 7:44.  Just time for mom to take a picture of everyone.  They were trying to avoid me.  I was shocked
 Dad and Renton reading time
 Weston doing dished
Yes Kam it is that painful

Renton and Dad watching CAR 2 for 30 minutes before bed
Renton found a box he wanted to unpack.  He found his stuff animals
I don't know if I have a picture of the new TV room
I had to take a picture of Kam's room it is clean and the bed is made.  I didn't even have to ask.
