Halloween

We should have a busy day today. Wes get to stay at school all day today, for the parade and Halloween party. We are going to eat lunch with him and help get him ready for the parade. It should be a cold parade I think it is the coldest it has been this fall. Lots of frost this morning.
I have to take shampoo and Kam's picture money to him this morning. He has basketball pictures. And I don't want him to have white hair for his pictures. Hope everyone has a Happy Halloween. I have some pictures to post but the pictures poster is not working.

I was busy yesterday. I made bread, sugar cookies, and did monday laundry day. But now my house is a mess, especially the kitchen. We had fish last night. It turn out pretty good. The kids ate it, so it must of been okay.
Well, I could clean all day or go shopping, the church book store in Cody is going out of business. I wonder which one I will do?
I'm starting so get some Christmas shopping done. Well my sister Tricia is getting somethings done for me. It's nice to have such a talented sister. I tell her what I'm thinking about, and it turns out 100 times better then I could of done it.
I have a question for you. I want to get Wyatt a digital camera for Christmas. But I don't know if I should get the kids kind or a cheaper adult one, any ideals? I think the adult because he is older but then the kids is made to withstand a kid. Just thinking about it this morning. Have a great day.

Krista emailed me this story. I thought it was cute.

> I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that. "Why?" my daughter asked. "Because it's been on the ground, you don't know where it's been, it's dirty and probably has germs" I replied. At this point, my daughter looked at me with total admiration and asked, "Mommy, how do you know all this stuff? You are so smart." I was thinking quickly. "All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mommy Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mommy." We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information. "OH...I get it!" she beamed, "So if you don't pass the test you have to be the daddy" "Exactly" I replied back with a big smile on my face.

We single handily made out dentist day today, four appointments. The kids didn't go to school today because they started at 10 this morning.
Kam has his first game tomorrow morning in Cody. We aren't expecting much, they haven't even practice there offence at all. They are also playing the seventh grade "b" team. We'll see how it goes.
Wyatt and Cole are spending the night in Cody with there cousins. They are pretty excited.
Kam woke up with pink eye this morning, luckily we still have the drops.
We are thinking about going out to Shell tonight for a Halloween party. I don't have the costumes ready yet so I don't know if me will good.

Tag anyone?

For those of you who don't know how this works, here are the rules:
A: Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves.
B: At the end of the post, the player then tags people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog for these rules.I think I can handle that.
Here are 6 fun facts!
1. I hate carving pumpkins, and know it is sad. I'm afraid to buy them because I will have to carve them.
2. I have been know to talk to other drivers on the road. I'm usually apologizing for not paying attention or something. Or turning to wide or something like that. I month it really wide hoping they can read my lips.
3. I really don't like cake and ice cream. I know it sounds crazy and of course I will eat it. But it isn't my favorite.
4. I love tulips, they are my favorite flower. Maybe because it means spring is here. I really don't know I just love tulips.
5. I love pillows, it drive Doug crazy, he is a one pillow man. I could have 100's I make this little whole, maybe cave. And then, when all the stars are aligned boy do I sleep go.
6. I really like to blog and read other peoples blog. I spent way to much time doing it. And it still doesn't look as good as some of my girlfriend. I always say, they are young them me and know more about the computer.

this is my attemped at tag: Tricia, Becca, and Suzanne it is touching you.

football pictures

pictures from football

The hunter was victorious

Doug was to embarrassed to stand by his deer, so Wes got to. I just see what he is thinking in the second picture. "I hope those brains don't fall on my toes" Sorry I know that that was gross but that is what he was thinking.
I just got my cheese cake in the oven for Standards Night tonight. We had a really nice stake meeting last night. I'm glad I went.
I need to post some cute football pictures. Maybe when I get home from the Wagon Wheel. Yes it is true, I had to beg him, but Doug and I are going there for lunch. Try not to be jealous. They are having a $2.50 hamburger special.
Hope you have a good day
Doug put some new songs on the pay list, he said Benny would love them. Can you pick them out?

Boring Day

Wes is walking in the door and I haven't found anything to write about. Talk about a boring day. It should be busy I have a lots to do to get ready for tonight and tomorrow night. I've been reading up on the Marie Osmond thing. I watched some of the show last night but missed the first. So I did see what happened. Poor girl I really like her. She has a good sense of humour. Hope she is okay.
Doug is done hunting again this morning. He said he was going to shot something, even if it is Bambie. What ever, I'm just ready for it to be over.
I'm excited to go to the library sometime today. I haven't read a book in months. Hope you have a good day.
Wes is talking to me and it is cracken me up "and do you know what" he is telling me lots of stories. A dog came to the school with a police officer. "and do you know what" we went on a treasure hunt and there was a really captain of a ship, but it was really my teacher. His day wasn't boring!

Cold monday morning

It is a cold monday morning. Doug went hunting with his dad. Wyatt tried to wear shorts to school today. It was kind of funny. I told him it was cold outside. He said it was supposed to be in the 60 today. I told him it was 30 outside right now. He found some pants and a coat to wear. Hope everyone has a great day.

It's friday

The kids have a half day of school today.
Doug was hunting all night and the boys and I watched some baseball. Go Boston, I think. I guess I really don't care. Who ever the Rockies can beat. It was fun to watch it with the boys. Of course we watched 3 other shows also(baseball is boring). Hope you have a good weekend.

The flu shot

The kids and I went to Doug's work yesterday and got our flu shots. Everyone did a great job, no real tears. I don't know why but Wes woke up in the night with a fever. I don't know if it was the shot or something in the air. He is feeling much better this morning, but I'm not sending him to school.

It rained all day yesterday. It felt like Washington again.
Wes must of had a rough day yesterday. I found this on the floor in the TV room.
He was down to his nothins curled up in a blanket on a bean bag enjoying some Scooby Doo. I thought it was funny

Great people are born in October

Happy Birthday Mom. My mom is one of the best cookie makers I know. She has passed it on to all of her daughters. I think we are all known throughout the communities we live for are cookie making skills. What a legacy. My mom has also instilled in me my love of gardening, of course I'm not an equal to her but I love to try. I think she also taught me how to shop. She can out shop the best of us. She is one of my best friends, I love to talk to her about everything and she loves to hear it. She is a hard worker and loves the church. She is a great example to me. I love you mom, happy birthday.

This is grandma's fish pond in her secret garden. These are her grandkids trying to do some fishing.

Grandpa's Jensens Birthday

I'm sorry to say I didn't say happy birthday to Grandpa last week. I had a hard time finding a picture of grandpa not dressed in some kind of costume. He loves to perform. I have grown to love this man so much. He is my friend and a great example to me. He always listens of my complaints and has word of wisdom for me.
He is such a friend to my husband. I don't think there is anyone else he would rather fish or hunt with.
He is a great grandpa to my boys, always ready to support them in all they do. He has sat through many bad football games, interesting concerts, crazy plays, and enjoyed them all.
We love living so close to them and enjoy the Sunday night visits.
Have a very happy birthday grandpa. We love you.
(I will have to post the pictures later thing aren't working this morning.)

The tooth recovery

The first day I got the tooth out I was feeling pretty good. (All the drug) The Dr. said the 2nd day would be the hardest day. But it was fine to.
The 3rd day however, not to good. My cheek is a lot more swollen today then yesterday. It is like I have lock jaw. I can only open my month a little bit. But the pain isn't to bad. I guess you could say it is manageable. I can't imagine getting all 4 out at the same time. Or even 2 for that matter.

Kiley's cute kids

The Nielson's write a weekly letter, to keep the family up to date on the things happening in our lives. Kiley sent a picture of her cute kids. I got some visiting teaching done yesterday, and I got to line judge a volleyball game last night. Greybull lost to Burlington in 3 games. That Burlington team has some great athletes. Doug and I are spending the day in Billings tomorrow. (for the tooth pulling) I'm hoping to go to the fabric store and start some halloween costumes.

Hard morning

I don't know why but this post is not easy to get on this morning.
This is a picture of the boys at the game on friday. You probably can see why Kam's team won soundly.
We have had rain the last few day and everything is muddy. I'm glad Kam is done with football, one less kid tracking in mud. He starts basketball on tuesday, so his break is short. Cole and Wyatt have their last game on friday night. During the highschool's half time.
I worked on laundry yesterday. It took me all day. Wes came in not able to find anything to wear. I told him to look in his drawers. It was a nice change for him not to have to go down stairs in the pile of clean close. ( I hope that wasn't to honest)
You need to check out Suzanne's blog she is putting recipes on it http://6nelsons.blogspot.com/

The football game

Kam and Cole played each other last night. It was fun to watch them. Kam's team won soundly but Cole got some action on the line. Against Kam, Cole got though the line, once or twice. The batteries are charging. So I will put them on later.
The most exciting thing that happened; Two deer came on the field. They got spooked when the coaches told the 3rd graders to chase them. It was like a deer streaking. One almost ran into a ref.
We are going back to Cody today. Doug and Cole have a dentist appointment this afternoon. Cole is home with pink eye. I think he is the last of his friend to get it. Luckly I have the eye drops from the last time we had pink eye.

October 3

It is Grandpa's birthday today.
I thought I would tell you a few things I think he loves.
He loves grand kids, especially when he can take them farming. He has been know to let them drive the pickup home from the shop. I always know when that happens because you always see pickup tracks off the side of the road.
He loves a good cow dog, I know he doesn't have a lot of cows but he likes the things that come with having cows.
He loves a good tractor ride in the spring. Fun to plant the seeds and see what comes up. In the fall because there will be no farming for a few months. (Time to work in the shop on the equipment.)
He loves strawberry jam, especially cooked strawberry jam.
I think he likes to spray things, mom is always saying that Dad sprayed the garden so I can't get into it today.
I know he loves my mom, what a good example he is to us.
He has a great sense of humor. We always enjoys a good laugh together.
He is a teaser, especially the granddaughters. But I do remember the time he gave Kam a barbie for Christmas ( it didn't go well) but the adults enjoyed it.
All the things my Dad is are great, he helps me wants to be a better person. He loves the Lord and is such an example to all who know him.
Probably one of his greatest qualities is humility. I remember the first fast for Kollin's cancer. We were all together as a family, after we had fasted Dad said the closing pray. I knew I had enough faith that Kollin would be healed, but my dad said "Thy will be done" I was shocked, I didn't have enough faith to let the Lord's will to be done. I learned so much that summer. He teaches me in the simplest ways.
I love you Dad.

Just another day

Ren and I just got back from the gym. There was lots of people there today. Ren stayed out of the way pretty good.
We are getting new insurance next year, and it don't look good. We are probably just coming into the 21 century, and didn't know how good we had it. But anyway, I have to get my wisdom tooth pulled before the first of the year. The only opening they had is next week. I thought I would have more time.
Not much more to report on. Everyone has practice and scouts tonight. I have YW we are doing a service project at a home of a new family in our ward. Should be dirty. Have a good day.

Parent teacher conference

The kids had the day off for parent teacher conferences yesterday, so I had to go to school. Everyone is doing really good. Cole isn't reading enough, so if he doesn't read before practice he doesn't get to go to practice. Wyatt isn't wearing his glasses at school. I told him he is going to have to pay me for the glasses if he doesn't wear them. Kam is getting straight A's. I don't have anything bad the say about him. Everyone loves him and thinks he is great. Which we already knew. Wes is almost ready to start introducing him to math and reading. His teacher is very excited to teach him how to read.
Our house smells like smoke today. The fire is out, but the wind changed in the night and the smoke is coming this way know.
Ren and I are one the way to the gym. Have a great day.

FIRE

I know this song doesn't go with this post but I really like this song today. We have a fire. It was down by the dike. Two blocks from our house. The boys where riding bikes down there when they saw the fire. They said they didn't start it.
We have the Hotshots still in town for the fire in the Big Horn's. So there are lots of fire fighters in town. Kind of funny all the fighters for a little fire. I don't think they are ever going to go home. Enjoy the pictures.
