Bank bail out and you!!!
Bank bail out and you
I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG. Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend. To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+. Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 00,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up.. So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals $425,000.00. My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend. Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let's assume a tax rate of 30%. Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam. But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket. A husband and wife has $595,000.00. What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family? Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved. Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads Put away money for college - it'll be there Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs. Buy a new car - create jobs Invest in the market - capital drives growth Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces. If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+! As for AIG - liquidate it. Sell off its parts. Let American General go back to being American General. Sell off the real estate. Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up. Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't. Sure it's a crazy idea that can 'never work.' But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party! How do you spell Economic Boom? I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam. Imagen what 700 billion would mean to each household. Found on the net.
Thought this was interesting.

Weekend update
The little boys had a football games with Thermop again. Wyatt's team won 20 to 0. Cole's team didn't do so good. These 6th grade Thermop boys are really big. We where waiting for them to decide they could beat us and it happened this weekend. We scored one touchdown in the first half and then Thermop scored all day. The final score was 20 to 8. It was still fun to watch Cole and Wyatt play though. I still haven't figured out the pictures on my blog. I need someone with lots of blog knowledge.

Quote of the Week
Before you criticize someone. You should walk a mile in their shoes. That way. When you criticize them. You are a mile away from them, and you have their shoes.
-Frieda Norris
I thought this was a great quote. My computer is still on the outs, I will have to have Doug look at it and see if he can figure it out.
We have a busy night again tonight. Doug has another service project. Cole and Wyatt have scout. I get to go with Kam to Stake Standards Night in Worland. I'm ready for Doug to come home once and a while but it is only going to get worse. Hunting Season! He is excited about getting an elk this year. Kam got a gun from Grandpa Jensen so he is ready to go deer hunting. With his broken knee he will actually get to go this year.
I better get going this morning, have a great day.

something is up with my cookies...
What ever that means. (Can you tell that I'm desperate for something to blog.) I can't see my pictures before they post so I can't type by them.
I know the cake in the cup of milk is weird for some and normal for others, right Darren. Doug thinks it is weird, but he has to have ice cream with his cake so really there isn't much difference.
I have a busy day, I'm having a Lia Sophia party tonight. I'm running into lots of problems weather it is Volleyball games, play practice, or Enrichment (they rescheduled it for this Tuesday instead of next Tuesday). So I think I might have 2 people. I guess it will be over fast, anyway.
I think Cole is feeling better, he had one pain pill before practice instead of two. Hopefully he will be ready for the game on Saturday.
I need to go get my tomatoes harvested it has been really cold lately, I'm afraid it is going to freeze.
Renton will be 2 1/2 on the 28th so we measure him this morning. He is the same size Weston and Cole were at 2 1/2. So hopefully he will make 5'10" like the rest of them. He still only weighs 22lbs though.
Well I better get the house clean for those 2 people.

Sad slide show
I think if you click on view images you will be able to see the slide show.
Wyatt got lots of playing time. He recovered 3 fumbles and did great on defense. Cole only played offense because his knee is still pretty sore. I didn't get many pictures of Cole because he was on the bench most of his game. We had a great weekend.
Oh I forgot to tell you, Wyatt is number 25 and Cole is number 13. Look for the black socks.
There is something up with my pictures I hope it works its self out.

I'm trying...
I have been trying to fight off my first sore throat of the season. I'm upping my vitamin intake to try to fight it. I hope it works. Doug has been really busy lately, with coaching football, reffing football, and his church calling he will be gone every night this week. They are building a wheel chair ramp for a lady in the ward and it is slow going. Kam had a fun mutual activity last night. They went to Devils Kitchen, Kam had a blast with the older boys. I wish he had more good kids his age.
This is a boring post I don't even have pictures to share. I will be taking a camera with the memory stick to the boys game this weekend in Thermop.

what to post
It is busy but some how boring around here of late. They are resurfacing our street today and tomorrow. Luckily we park in the back. The weather has been really good, nice and warm during the day and cooling down at night.
I have been folding laundry all morning. I need to start canning the last of the peach jam.
I don't know if you can tell, but Mijken was wondering what my new wall color looks like. It isn't a good picture I will try harder later.

OH They Call him Mr. Touchdown!!!!
Cole and Wyatt had there first game on Saturday. It was really wind and a little bit miserable but we got though it. Wyatt played the 4th and 5th grade team. They won 20 to 6. It was fun to watch him.
Doug coaches Cole's team soo.... Cole is the quarterback. He did great there team played the 6th grade and they where alot bigger. Jake, Zach and Cole ran the ball alot. Cole had 2 touchdowns and they won 12 to 6. The Thermop team was getting better and better every second and our boys where getting really worn out. Cole got hurt on a punt return and didn't run the ball the rest of the game. I told Doug I didn't want him doing punt returns anymore. But I don't think it will make a difference. He is better this morning and ready for practice tonight.
I took my camera to the game but I forgot the memory card. Nice....
Sister Smith in our ward passed away on Saturday, she will be greatly missed. She was diagnosed with cancer in the end of July. We are thinking of her great family today and our prays are with them.
Grandma came over this morning and helped me finish my pears. I think I ended up with 9 batches. I'm glad to be almost done. I have 2 boxes of peaches left and I was going to make jam out of them.
Hope you have a great day.

Canning Bath
Grandma came over this morning and got us motivated to get our canning started. We got 5 batches of peaches done this morning.
It is a chilly morning. I took a bowl of soapy water outside to wash off the canned fruit.
I found this going on when I went to check the peaches
Just his size

Weekend update
Doug's parents got back from Caldwell on Friday night late with 16,000 lbs of peaches and pears.
I'm hoping to get some of the fruit into bottles. The boys are loving it. As soon as it ripens they eat it. Will had 3 ripe peaches Saturday, probably 4 on Sunday and 4 this morning.
Renny in the bathtub this morning
Kam is miserable with his knee brace. It pinches, slides down and rubes. I really don't think it will last for 2 months. Kam went Dove hunting with Scott McBride on Friday night.
He went to Lander with the football team on Saturday, the 8th grade team did great. They won by 20 points I think. Last year they made 2 touchdowns, the whole season. I'm still sad I don't get to watch Kam play. Doug, Cole and Wyatt have there first game on Saturday against Thermop it will be fun to watch them. Doug is reffing a JV game before their game. Should be a busy Saturday.

We have some sad news in our committee, one of Kam's good friends dad passed away very suddenly of a stomach aneurysm on Sunday. Kam's football team is going to the funeral this morning. I hope it will be a learning experiences and not a scary one.
Doug and the boys have practice tonight, they always have a good time.
Hope you have a great day.

School broad
I apologize now because there is going to be lots of writing, and we all know my writing skills. ( I have none)cloths, closet.
As I have been running around town, going to the doctor, and the gym. I have had lots of different people come and ask me about my husband running for school broad. I wish I had something positive to say about it. I really hope he doesn't get it because our school broad has lots of problems and well I don't want the drama in my life. The people I have talked to are excited about him running "we need a change" that kind of stuff. There are 7 people running and 3 spots open. 2 of the people running are already on the school broad and very popular families in the community. Doug is excited to serve I think the vote is in November. So this probably will not be my last post about this subject.
We are headed to Cody this afternoon for Kam's doctors appointment. I hope he is cleared to play. They play in Lander on Saturday, and Basin on Tuesday. The little boys have there first game on the 13th. It is going to be hard. When they are home Kam is away you know how that goes. Doug has to go with the little boys because he coaches. So I go to Kam's games.
Well I better get moving, have a great day.

Nebraska what are we getting into
After the game we headed for Nebraska. Kiley and Jason live on a ranch in the Sand Hills.
Notice as the road gets smaller
and smaller
and smaller
We grove about 40 miles on this little bike path. Kiley's house was about the 3rd ranch we saw. It was a fun adventure. The land scape was beautiful. Lots on tall green grass, cows, lakes. Oh and I can't forget the wind lots of wind, with sand in it. The kids had a blast with all the frogs, they went looking for turtles and all kinds of other creepy crawling things. It is something we have never seen before, really neat.
Kiley had lots of visitor. Her baby is so sweet. It was a great weekend.
The closer we got to home the colder it got. When we left Nebraska it was 71, when we got home to Wyoming it was 41. That is cold, we did get lots of rain and that is great. Well I better get started on laundry, and dishes, and well everything you have to do when you have been gone for 3 days.

Back to Laramie
Brenda and Darren did a great tale gate party. Ribs... look closely at Wes's face.
Ren and me
Ren and Cloe ready for the Star Spangle Banner. We had a great day at the game. The heat was miserable. The game was pretty boring except the last 5 minutes. We got to catch up with lots of good friends. I guess you might want to know Wyoming won by 1 point over Ohio.
