Car wash/ fire

The little boys love to wash the cars.

Dad made it home in time to give rides on the motorcycle.
What's on fire? This is one of the problems you face when you are surrounded by mountains. Yesterday afternoon after the wind changed directions, the Cody mountain's fire blew into Greybull. There was lots of smoke, it was funny you could smell the pine trees burning before the smoke rolled in. It was interesting, after a few hours the wind changed directions again and the smoke blew out.
We are excited to see Doug today. He has a half day off for the fair. We might make it over there sometime.

What's Happenin

We had a fabulous day shopping yesterday. We spent all our lot cleaning money, all but $8. It was crazy the spending frenzy. Need less to say I think we are all done except school supplies. The boys where really excited about there purchases. Hopefully they will wear them.
We are busy this morning. McBride made it in late last night. They are to tired and have to many other things going on the unload the truck I feel really bad for them. They have a sick baby, so they are off to the Dr. this morning. And if they don't get to Worland today they will not have any gas, ( no hot water) just on of the many things.
Hopefully they get things figured out by 5 when the ward is coming to move. We are excited to have them here and wish them all the luck.

Do you see what I see

You have to look really hard.
Here's a hint, our mountains are named after them.

We went up fishing on Saturday, we caught lots of fish and got lots of mosquito bites. Doug was teasing me in church. He would scratch one of my many mosquito bites and the not let me scratch it anymore. It was miserable. We are talking about going to Billings on Tuesday, for Costco and school shopping. It will be me and the boys and my new friend Celeste. She is here with her husband, he works on the railroad. It has been fun to get to know them. She is flying out of Billings on Tuesday.
We are also so excited to see the Casey's (all of them) it is their family reunion this weekend. We hope they will come down for a barbecue.
Another exciting thing happening this week. The McBride's are moving there on Tuesday. I think they drive all day on Tuesday and will be here really late on Tuesday night. We are excited for them to get here.
We have a busy Monday, the boys and I are cleaning a yard all morning. Mowing 2 lawns, hopefully making bread and doing laundry. Doug put a second coat of paint on the door/headboard. He is going to make it look prefect. I like the distressed look. But he has a different vision. I'm excited to get it done. It will look great.
Doug and Kam have priesthood meeting tonight, so I think I have a Jane Austin movie in my near future. Hope you have a great week.

Shell falls and the end of football camp

Doug took the day off yesterday and we went to Shell Falls and fishing. Caught lot of fish the friends we went with had never been fishing like this. They had lots of fun.
View from Shell Falls

The falls
The boys got gone with football camp. I think it was successful, lots of hard work. But that is what boys need. Kam is getting better everyday. He is mowing again and that is good. I'm excited to get my headboard done. We finally finished weeding the front flower bed. It looks great. We are talking about going to Yellowstone this weekend and stay with Shane, do some hiking, things like that. Will see what happens. I'm ready to have my house finished up so we might do the windows this weekend too. I have started ordering school clothes. I hope everything fits. That is the problem with ordering on line.

the door/ headbroad

This is the door I got at the yard sale for $2.

This is one coat of paint. I really like the color. Do you think I should do a 2nd coat and make it shine black or like this? Let me know what you think. Thanks Erica

Really honest pictures

Kam is such a teenager.

Laramie

So my faviote picture isn't going to work. Do you see Laramie, I don't think it would bother me if she was being a little more lady like. Crazy dog!!!

the family pictures

The ones that didn't make the cut: The white dots our are neighborhood gnats. I think we learned our lesson about trying to have a dog in the picture.

Off to Girls Camp

Well I'm off to get the girls from girls camp this morning. I hate to leave the kids, but I'm sure they will be fine. We don't have anything planned this weekend, I want to go fishing but who knows. We are staying busy with all our yard work. Kam has physical therapy this afternoon so Doug will have to take him. I will still be on the mountain. Hope you have a great weekend.

blog book

I got my blog book yesterday. I really like it I wish I would of done so things different.
Make it bigger 8x10 isn't big enough. I was picturing a scrapbook size book.
This style of page, I won't use this page as much. It cropped off Brandon's head.

I would edit it better, I like the borders on all the pictures. They look a lot better.
Borders look better.
We are starting to get back to normal it was Doug's first day back on regular hours, no more 5 to 9. We actually had breakfast together this morning. Kam's doctor suggested some physical therapy for his knee. I will call on that today. He is reading Harry Porter number 7 this week. He needs to start feeling better because he is runny out of books to read.

Some of my new treasures

I'm so excited about these Stars. I don't know where I'm going to put them. Decision, decisions
Melanie just stopped by with some awesome treasures. See the price of those nuts. I loaded up. Nice
Emma Nelson is having a bake sale for a camp she is going to this summer. And I don't make cinnamon roll. But she does. So I loaded up on these too.
These are some Portuguese donut, Mel didn't want to eat them all herself. So she shared with us. YES
Kam and I are on the way to the Dr. He is feeling lots better. I'm trying to talk him into football camp next week. Maybe he can go and watch.

garden and projects

I love new potatoes, and potatoe pea soup.
This is my new project: I'm debating if it is going to be a new table for outside or and head board. I'm leaning more toward a table, but what color, I'm thinking about black, or maybe red, white. Let me know what you think.
My flowers in front
I need to thin them out I just hate to pull flowers.
My corner is really struggling, we think it has some kind of bug. We have sprayed it a few time. Hope it works this time.

Let me know what you think about the colors on the door. I will sand it down today, hopefully.
Kam is feeling better, the boys left for scout camp today. He isn't walking much he only uses his crutches about 50% of the time. Mostly because his brother are playing with them somewhere. Hope he gets over it fast.
