what a weekend

We had our annual Sister Retreat.  This year we did a favorite thing exchange, it was a great success.  I found these wild Relief Society rings.  It was great fun.
We got into some trouble with all of this stuff.  The most snow we have  had all year.
Look at Renny in his shorts.  It was a retreat no mothering required.

I don't think we will ever come be to Wyoming.  I will have to elaborate on the weekend when I have more time.
We had an art show that the boys participated in.
This is Weston's frog
 Renton's dog
 Renton's owl

 Wyatt's Fox in a Den
These boys getting ready for Bear Lake.  They actually got sun burned, those crazy boys

Shampoo

I just ordered my Revlon shampoo.  I'm so excited about it.  One amazon it was $16.99 a bottle.  On a Canadian web sight it was $2.99 a bottle.  The shipping was high but still way cheaper then Amazon.

Renton got a blue ribbon on his art work,  Cute pup!

Our mountain weather

We had a  storm come in this week with lots of moisture and cold in it.  We took these pictures last night.  I has snow all night and is still snowing today.  Most of the sister and my mom are headed over from Mijken's house this morning.  I'm so excited to have them come, sad that the weather is so bad.   I road should just be wet on the pass because it is warm.  I hope that is the truth.

I need to keep a journal of all there adventures so far.  Mom could get the gas cap off her car to gas it up in Caldwell yesterday.  This morning when they stopped in Idaho Falls,   Mijken found a baby kitty under her the hood of her car.  They had to wait for the animal shelter to open and drop off the cat before they could leave.  It was a little, little baby, it needed to be bottle fed.  They got that figured out and they are on the road again.  They just called from Victor.  It is raining for them.

Rough morning

I didn't realize what day it was today until I had to write a check.  Then I got on the computer and saw that Sara's mom had done a post for my mom for mother day.
This is Luke, Kollin's son.  It is Kollin's birthday today.  I hope he and Sara have a wonderful day today.  I see so much of Kollin in him.  Look at that chin!  Just missing my brother today.

On watch

There was a baby grizzly trapped on our street yesterday.  It was in our neighbors patio.  They are looking for the mama and have not found her yet. Scary, the boys played in the river all day yesterday after school.

Sunday Drive.

The Bakers got stuck in a drift.  The boys all tried to push it out to no avail.
It took a real truck to pull him out.  easy peasy lemon squizie.  Funny thing is Stone got stuck again.  He drove off the road and two wheels were off ground high centered.  Doug was able to pull them out of that as well.  Way to go Doug.

We went on a Sunday drive again with our good friends the Bakers.  Lots of these pictures are of the scenery around here.  It is so stunning.  It started out a very nice day...about 45 deg  but the sun was shining.  On the way we were able to see a badger, bald eagles, and the usual deer, elk and antelope.  We sure love Dubois and Doug will never get enough of driving around these mountains.  The drive was about 25 miles in.

Here the boys are trying to light a fire.  It was about 35 degs now and overcast.  By the time we left it was below 30 and a blizzard...no visibility.  We didn't take any pictures of that.  While there we had tin foil dinners and then roasted smores.  It was fun.  After dinner and before the storm everyone (except the two wives) went and shot guns.  Doug got to shoot his new .45 he got.  He sure loves that gun, and I hear (way too often) he is a pretty good shot with it as well.  The boys got to shoot it as well as the collection Stone Baker brought.  Even Renton got to shoot a .22 rifle and a .22 cowboy pistol.  He loved it.

You can see here this bull is getting his rack.  We ended up seeing about 80 elk all together.  A small group of 5 and then 3 larger herds of 20 to 30 elk each.  Doug will never tire of seeing all these elk
