Big Bike Boy

Renton just figured out he can ride a big bike. He is growing up to fast. Weston took some pictures of him this morning. So of them are blurry.

and so it starts

First day of football camp. Our summer is almost over. After football camp, it is scout camp, and then on to school starting.
August 1st we start sending Renton and Weston to bed on time, and getting up early. We need to get a schedule started. I know Ren is going to be so tired at school.
We went and played football last night at the football field. It was lots of fun. Then we went on a big walk to pick up Weston from a friends house. It was getting dark by the time we got home.
Tonight is scouts, the boys are cleaning some yards for money for scout camp.
I'm trying to talk Doug into letting me and the little boys go up with them to scout camp. I told them we could camp away for everything. I certainly don't want to help them cook or anything. We haven't been camping at all this year and I want to. Our camper is still winterized. Isn't that crazy, we usually use it so much.
I'm babysitting again today, baby Q is a nice boy. Everyone had a blast with him yesterday.

What We're up to

I took Kam, Cole and Wyatt to Billings yesterday. We had a fun trip, lots of money was spent. And thankfully it wasn't all mine.
Doug's Uncle Larry passed away yesterday, after a 15 year fight with cancer. We are headed to his funeral in LasVegas on Thursday. I haven't found a place for the kids. Most of the Jensen's are headed to the funeral with us. I think I will have to get creative.
We are watching baby Q for a few days. He is a fun big guy.
Kam is still working. After this week the pool isn't open for free swim, so our days will get really long again.
Cole and Wyatt are busy with the lawn business.
The boys are started to get things planned for Scout Camp. It is going to be a quiet week.
Doug is trying to get his jobs finished up for the summer. He is doing lots of paper work.
I need to take my camera out more often. I will be really sad when I make my book next year and I haven't posted anything.

True Mom Confessions

I found this in a magazine waiting for the doctor.
I could really relate to most for then.
-Sometimes I nod and make noises like I am listening to my kids when I am not.
-I gave up on giving daily baths- or getting them-after my second baby was born.
-I don't have a one-bite rule: a peanut butter sandwich is always on the menu: and I could never send a child to bed hungry.
-I like to be near my kids when they're playing or doing homework, but I don't really want to join in (unless they need me).
-I forgot to bring my picky-eating third grader his lunch today (again), and he had to get a cafeteria tray. He'll at least eat the cookie. As long as it doesn't have nuts, raisins, or an unfamiliar specks.
-I readily admit: Playgroup was really for the mommies.
-At one time or another, I've fallen back on the tactics I swore I would never use on my children, including guilt, yelling, and threats to call the North Pole.
-In my 15 years of parenting, I have spanked, and I do remind them it's strictly a "one day at a time" abstinence program.
-Our tooth fairy is notoriously unreliable.
-Sometimes I just vacuum up the LEGOs.
Glad that's off my chest.

Carpet

Randy put in our carpet why we were on vacation. We are excited to have it. I kids still haven't eaten in the TV room, and you can see the pile of shoes in the entry. We are waiting for a new staple gun to finish the stairs.
Wyatt and I took a quick trip to Cody this morning. I had a dr's appointment. Nothing exciting. Cole and Wyatt are on a bike ride this afternoon. Kam has the day off from the pool and went to the library. Renton, Gavin and Weston are watching TV. It is really hot outside. It has been at least 100 degree sense we got home.

I can still paint the stairs, I like the ideal because they get so dirty from the kitchen. The problem is they are squeaky. Do you think I should paint them white? They would get so dirty. I think Yellow is to much. I like the idea of the brown, same as the trim. . . I will probably wait for carpet.

Carpet

We have been working hard getting the house ready for new carpet. It will come on Friday, the day before we come home from Bear Lake. We got the boat pack today and are excited to leave.
