FOOTBALL IS HERE

The boys have started football. Kam's games are on saturday. Can you imagine Doug's dilemma. He is going bow hunting this weekend. He said he will shot anything he can see. I guess it is allot harder to kill something with a bow then a gun. I guess that makes sense. This is his only free weekend though. I want him to come food storage shopping with me also. Busy guy. We have the elementary school open house tonight, and football practice. So we should be busy.

I don't know why I'm having such a hard time with this post. But I guess I will give it a try. This is doug's apple tree. Some of the tomatoes and preppers. Then the flowers in the front of the house. We are putting in more flower garden in the fall. We are getting some nice tomatoes and lots of good squash. Our corn rippened when we where at grandpa's funeral and we missed out on the 4 ears on corn we had growing. Well that is all for tonight.

It was pretty quiet for an hour or two today. Ren walked around looking for someone to play with. He was pretty lonely.

Grandma brought me so plum jam she made. Boy it tastes good. Especially when you use your fingers. I might not live by my Grandpa Nielson but I still have some of his most important traits.

Swimming Time

Ren is enjoying some swimming time. The pool is actually closed till school starts.

Lazy Summer Days

It takes alot out of you playing all day. Some didn't even make it to dinner. Some did, make it to dinner. But not a second longer.

Cole is the latest to get glasses. Wes is wearing Dad's old pair. Just a few days left till all these scholars go to school.

Cole enjoyed a quiet birthday with his cousins on saturday.

sour laundry

I have to tell you about Wyatt. He is really into what he looks like. He has to have the right clothes for the occasion. So the ones he wants aren't always clean. So I taught him how to do laundry. He started a batch about 3 days ago and forgot about it. So when I started laundry today there was some stinky clothes in there. He had watch them with all the dish rags. He was not impressed to say the least. It was funny because Gm Jensen was over and Wes yelled up from the laundry room. " Wyatt they smell good. " ( he was taking them out of the dryer) She was wondering what smells good.
But I guess we all need to learn the lesson about how long the clothes can stay in the washer on a hot summer day.

I thought I would try this. I have lots of friends that blog. And I really enjoy reading them. Actually I get upset when they don't blog for a couple of days. So I will give it a try.
