Wasn't going to post

I wasn't going to post this morning I have to much to do. We are leaving early in the morning on Saturday, but I heard some rustling outside this morning. I know Laramie was doing something to get into trouble. And I found this. She was trapped in the window well, because she couldn't see. She had gotten into the trash.
Isn't she getting big. Doug gets after us for letting her jump on us. " You need to kick or something when she tries to jump on you" I think I broke my toe this morning.
I came inside from the garden this morning and found Ren. He must have bad eyes, or he will soon.
Isn't he getting big, seems that way when he is sprawled out on the counter top.
Hope you have a great weekend, we will see you at the game, or in Nebraska.

August Rush

I got this movie on netflix 2 weeks ago. It has been sitting around here that long. I think it was the Olympics fault. Anyway I finally watched it this morning. I really enjoyed it. I'm excited for the boys to watch it and see what they think. It is a great family movie. I was folding laundry but I don't think I miss anything that kids couldn't watch. If you have anytime this weekend I think it is a good renter.

Are you tired of the window?

We are getting closer and closer. It looks great. Doug is doing a great job. He is taking the night off tonight so he can coach Cole and Wyatt's practice. As soon as he is done with the window I need to paint. I want to paint the whole house but I will refrain myself and just settle for a finished bedroom.
7th grade is a lot of work. Kam has lots of homework, and Wednesday night are the worst, with young men's and practice. He is going to an Orthopedic doctor on Wednesday next week.
For young women's we went to Bishops and he taught us about how to draw. The girls loved it. They want a more in depth class next time.
Everyone else is in good share staying busy.

New Window

the picture from the inside
from the outside

I have another busy day today. I'm trying to get Kam into an Orthopedic doctor. He dislocated his knee last night in practice. I'm not having alot of luck getting a doctor. I think I might be going to Billings. I wish I knew how serious this thing is, to know how much I should be doing about it. He is sad to be on the bench. The coaches called and said they were sad he is injured and want him on offense and defense for 8th grade team, he was excited to here he was doing that good. Well I better get back on the phone.

The Destruction

Doug was busy last night after work. We are so grateful that Scott came over to help. It was lots of hard work. Needless to say we are getting a contractor to do the other window. I'm supposed to clean up all the mess today, but I think I'm going to wait until Doug is finished with everything. He is hoping to finish up the frame and put the window in tonight.
I was busy last night running kids to football practice, birthday parties, and other things. We sat down for a bowl of cold cereal at 8:00, last night.
It was so hot yesterday I think it got into the 100's. It should to cooler today, in the upper 80's I hope.

The hummingbirds

I got some pictures of the hummingbirds the other day. They love the flowers.

We are getting excited for the weekend and our trip to Laramie and Lakeside. It will be lots of driving but it is Wyoming and Nebraska. The kids are excited to see G & G Nielson and watch a Cowboys game. Cole, Wyatt, and Doug have there first practice tonight. They are looking forward to that. They have had there football pads on since they got then on Friday. Kam made the 8th grade team. He is the center, I'm not excited about it but he is so I won't let him know how hard it is going to be. I'm sure he will be fine. Doug worked on the window downstairs all weekend. He has all the holes drilled but he can't find a chisel bit to finish it out. It is so solid. He had a rough week with batteries. He left the key on, on his motorcycle and the battery ran down. He charged it but it won't hold a charge. So we need to get a new battery for it. This weekend he started working on the Trooper getting it ready for hunting season and was charging that battery and left the charger on it all night, he thinks he ruined that battery too. Hopefully we can get it all figured out and running again. That's all for this morning.

Kiley's Post

Okay, you have to check out my sisters post today. http://nesandhills.blogspot.com/. I'm in shock. We are going to visit next weekend. I was really excited about it but I'm really really scared of snakes. REALLY scared of snakes. I blame it on Kollin and Bret. Because they differently are not scared of snakes. They were always bring them home wrapped around there necks, in there shirts. I have lots of stories about the snakes and my brothers. It is giving me gross bumps right now thinking about it.
Doug has a short day today. He had a late night in Cowley so he will be home by 10 this morning. We are going to work on the windows and mow our lawn.
I hope you enjoy Kiley's post.

Update

I'm having writers blog this morning.

Doug is trying to get us ready for next summer. He has a big job in Cowley, lots of hours. He has a town meeting tonight in Cowley, it is almost an hour drive both ways. He is excited about the work but not looking forward to the drive. He thinks he will start the job in March and finish in October or November. I will be a single parent for the whole summer. I really wanted him finish up the Greybull job but it didn't happen. Well he will probably do that job also, just from Cowley. It is crazy how there schedule works. He had one overlay this summer. It was about 5 miles long it took 2 weeks. And next summer he has to big jobs. I guess when you have the money you better use it.

The boys are loving school. Wes loves lunch, and rescue.

We are being inundated with humming birds. They are really neat to watch. They love the flowers. I have one tomato almost red and something ate is yesterday. I think it was a squirrel. Hope you have a good day.

Cole turns 11

I had to have an action shot of Cole, he is constantly in motion. He wouldn't sit down to eat if I didn't make him. Well, to tell you the truth he wouldn't wear a shirt either.( if I didn't make him)
Cole is just a happy kid, really easy going. Has so many friends it is hard for his mom.
Cole you are great. We are so blessed to have you in our family. Happy Birthday, hope you have a great year in school.

Find a penny....

You could differently tell we were support to be at the temple yesterday. The RS had planned a baptism trip. We thought we would like to go a bring Kam. As usual, I was running around trying to get things ready. Ironing white shirt, folding laundry. All the sudden Kameron starts yelling. I run up stairs and Kam is giving Ren the Heimlich. By the time I got there everything was over. Kam thought that he swallow one (he had more then one in his mouth). I took him up stairs and he started choking again. I gave him a drink of water, and he started setting down. Now what do I do. We are leaving to the temple in 1 hour. I call the hospital and asked them what they thought. She said watch him for a few more minute and call her back. She was going to consult with the doctor. Ren was doing fine so I called the Dr and told them he was doing good he just gags some times. She said just watch him really close all night. I told her we where leaving to the temple in an hour and I was leaving him with a baby sitter. Well to make a long story short. I took him to the hospital to get an X-ray to make sure the penny was in his belly. He was really good in X-ray and we looked at the films. NO PENNY!! He didn't end up swallowing any money at all.

I guess the cost for piece of mind. Will be $500, nice. We where so glad that he was safe. I really think Kam has a future in life saving some how. This is his second time saving one of his brothers from choking.

I really felt so blessed to be watched over and protected. We had an awesome time at the temple. We were so glad we went. Doug was the only priesthood there. He baptized and confirmed about 100 people. He did great. I love that everyone had there own names. One sister did her mother, grandmother, aunts and sister. What a great experience to be involved with.

We are all in good shape today, we are getting ready for the ward party tonight. The yard looks great. I wish I had a cute table decorations. But not with our wards budget. I wish I could figure something out.

Hope you have a great weekend.

The dilemma

Well I have the best secret I have been keeping. It is so hard to keep great secrets. I found out the secret at church and I knew if I saw the person the secret was about, she would just know, by looking at me that I had a great secret about her. So I tried to avoid her at church. But today we went to her house for visiting teaching. I thought I was in the clear because her husband was going to tell the the secret on Tuesday morning so she could pack everybody. When I got to her house I got the feeling that she hadn't been told anything. Oh great!! how am I going to keep the secret.

She just called me and told me the her husband told her the secret. They are going to Maui for 8 days, kids and all. We are still trying to keep it quiet because they aren't telling the kids anything. What a fun trip, their dad has been planning.

They fly out of Cody at 6am tomorrow morning. I must admit I'm really jealous, they will have such a fun time.

Questions

Trish asked what I'm going today. Well, it is lawn mowing day today. But the most exciting thing is. I got some more old doors. I was thinking about starting to sand them down. But I don't know what I'm going to do with them exactly.
School starts the 19th. I don't think the boys even know it is happening. We will have to break it to them soon.

Trying to get a pictures

I was trying to get a picture of Ren. He hasn't had one for the picture wall in a year.
I never got one I really liked and to top it off I stepped in dog poop. Needless to say I wasn't in a good mood. But I recovered fast, Doug took a half day off work. We went to Cody and finish school supply shopping. We had a great dinner with Brandon and Krista.
Kam made a new purchase for his bed, he was pretty excited to find this awesome sheet set.

We are having a High Priest party at our house on Saturday, so I will be spending all week getting the house and yard ready. Wish me luck.
